RNLISOS day..29th January -

SOS "Saunter on Sand" sponsored walk 29th - We're having a sponsored walk from the boathouse along the beach to the end of the prom, back along the beach to the Perch and finish at the boathouse. Hot soup and rolls will be served at the boathouse. It is an easy walk and should take approx. 2 hours. SOS Radio Weekend - 30th and 31st - Come along and watch the Meirion Amateur Radio Club at work raising money for the RNLI for SOS Day at the Lifeboat Station and the Yacht Club on Saturday and Sunday 30th and 31st January. Their aim is to make contact with other enthusiasts all over the world. Last year was very successful. This year they are hoping to be even better.

Barmouth Pancake Race 14th - there will be a pancake race on the beach opposite the lifeboat station. Fancy Dress is encouraged, prizes for the best in class.. Teams or individuals will race along a set course and have to toss the pancake whilst running. Supply your own pan and pancake.

Entry fee is £1 each all proceeds to the RNLI. Lots of fun!!!!

Barmouth to Fort William Three Peaks Yacht Race - Saturday 19th June 2010. Yachts leave the harbour at 3.00pm. The race proceeds to Caernarfon where two crew members race to the summit of Snowdon and return, then on to Whitehaven for the ascent of Scafell Pike and finally to Fort William and Ben Nevis. Race start in Barmouth is preceded by a procession of the yachts from the harbour to the start line off shore, with many events on the quayside to entertain the onlookers.
